Born May 1996, Jessenya is a 12 year old girl with a radiant smile and an engaging personality. She is very affectionate and likes to help others. In fact, Jessenya will go out of her way to help others. Jessenya has a great sense of humor, and loves to joke and laugh. She likes to dance, and attends dance classes. She loves animals, and enjoys horseback riding. She also enjoys riding her bike, and playing with Barbie dolls. Jessenya is in sixth grade. She gets along well with some of her teachers. Due to the many painful losses Jessenya has experienced, she has difficulty trusting others. If she starts to attach to her caregivers, she becomes frightened, and will sometimes act out. Jessenya responds best to clear, consistent up-front guidelines and expectations. It is felt that she will do best in a family that is patient and understanding, while also being able to set firm limits. Jessenya is in need of a permanent, loving family who can help her reach her full potential.
